LUSH+Forever21 Mini Haul/ Gets! + Updates+ NOTDs (Image Heavy!)

OMG I'm sorry for being such a bad blogger, I've been really busy, and then as soon as school ended, I got a bad cold D:. So I've been at home for the majority of break!

Anyways, a new F21 opened in San Diego! It's amazing, I think it's almost as big, or bigger than the one at Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas!

I got a few things but, I just want to show you guys this pallette!

It's like a Coastal Scents dupe! Really cheap too, 10 bucks on sale.

Even had a mirror! Really similar to the original.

The main difference is that the colors aren't the same. I don't like how the colors are organized either, it's kinda....disorganized..
There's also a perfumey scent to the shadows, it doesn't bother me, but I find it kinda weird (are people supposed to smell your eye..?)

A LUSH Cosmetics opened in San Diego too! (Wheeee!) After months of online shopping, I finally got to go pick out a few things that I wanted :D

Everything layed out, only picked up three things,
I hope they have a Christmas Sale! *PS, I linked all the products to the site for you guys! US site though, *

First, it's the new Yuzu and Cocoa Bubbleroon!
Lush says:
"Inspired by the unusual Japanese fruit the yuzu (kind of like a Satsuma orange), this Bubbleroon has a delectable orange chocolate fragrance. It makes mountains of fluffy white bubbles and the most supremely soft bath water. With Extra Virgin coconut oil and Fair Trade Shea Butter (like all of our Bubbleroons) Yuzo and Cocoa is the crème de la crème of chocolatey and moisturizing baths. "
It smells creamy, and fruity. I thought I'd like the Rose Jam one, but I liked this better :D
From the Christmas line, it's the Superstar Bubble Bar!
Lush says :
" Truly a slice of summer in the wintertime, Superstars smell like fresh strawberries and a hint of herbal refreshment. Helen has been told she's good at making strawberry fragrances, so she made a sweet and delicious scent especially for this holiday bar. Enjoy the fragrance and feel of summertime, as angelica root oil helps soothe the mind and black pepper oil warms up chilly bodies. Now the only decision you have to make is red and yellow, or yellow and red.... "
I chose Yellow and Red! Hahaha, it smells alot like strawberry, I don't know I feel like theres a ...soda-ish note to it too ? Maybe I'm crazy! (...) I cut off a little chunk and tried it out in the sink and it created SO many bubbles and made the water so soft <3 It's kind of strong though...
Lastly from LUSH is a Dragon's Egg!
Lush says:
" As you bathe in the whirlpool of vibrant, fiery colour and inhale the refreshing sherbet scent of lemon and bergamot, you'll feel like you're up and away on the back of your own dragon. Citrus oils are known for their invigorating effect on the mind, and Dragon's Egg is no exception! Drop one of these baby dragons in the bath for a serious wake-up call on groggy mornings or before evenings out. "

It smells VERY strongly of a crisp citrus. Almost too strong, but I wanted to try it out because of the youtube demos that made it look AH-MA-ZING.

Couple of things I picked up at the F21 today! Purple infinity scarf, and a kitty mirror!

Isn't it cute! Haha you can see the top of my panda phone case!
Updates, I guess! As I said, I've been so sick this week! But the week before that, I had a piano recital! So I have a story...If you don't want to read, scroll!

*Start ramble*
So in Seventeen Magazine, they had three offers, all of which included one mini sample and one makeover. It was Benefit for Bloomingdale's, Bobbi Brown for Macy's, and Lancome for Nordstroms. I wanted to have my makeup done for the recital and I really wanted the Benefit, so I went down to Bloomingdales, but they didn't carry Benefit so I wanted to try Bobbi Brown next. I went into the Macy's and they too did not have a BB counter for me to redeem things from. Lastly, I went to Nordstroms, which DID have a Lancome, but the ladies said they were too "busy" to do my makeup...Strangely when I got there, they were sitting on the floor gossiping. Hm.
I was really upset at that point so I went back to Macy's so my mom could shop, and the lady at the Urban Decay counter offered to do my eyemakeup! It's kind of dark, but I like it! I think it makes me look mean though..
*End ramble*
My hair for that day, curls and waterfall braid!

Snowflake nails, gradient with the color For Audrey
and Today's manicure,
The blue glitter is OPI's Gone Gonzo! and the creme is CG's For Audrey.

That's it! Sorry for such a long post, but I wanted to condense everything into one post, so I can write about new things later!

If I don't update again, I want to wish all of my readers a Merry Christmas, or Happy Holidays if you don't celebrate Christmas! Also, I hope everyone has a fantastic New Year!

Lattes and Leopard (Nails) + New Banner!

I'm sorry for not being able to blog lately, I've been seriously super busy! (yeah I know, excuses, excuses..)
This is going to be just a quick latest mani's blog
First time I tried no water marbling! Inspired by lattes, but it ended up a bit messy D:
Leopard, I've been gravitating towards leopard since it's fall now and I can't do MANY florals.
Water marble, color scheme also inspired by latte art!
Gray and pink floral-y nails, I haven't done this design in a while!
Lastly, not a manicure but I wanted to show you guys magnetic polish (index finger). It's soooo cool! I really wanted one but it's so expensive!

If you guys noticed, I got a new banner! Chanel designed it for me yesterday! Thank you!

NOTM 10/2011

Wow I haven't done many nail posts... that's shocking

But since I got some new polishes I thought I'd throw in the two most recent manicures I did!

I think I'll start chronologically!

Mani inspired by Hwannie, or ...I think it's amiinails(?) now... she changed channels, but I saw this on her facebook fanpage!
Polishes I got today!
Pelican Gray-Gotten by recommendation by a friend! Current mani! Despite not being a typical nude, pink, coral, red, I still think it looks quite feminine, especially paired with the glitter top coat! LOVE the combinaton :D
Lemon Fizz- Not exactly "Autumn" but I was twitching cause I didn't have a yellow to complete a pastel rainbow
IX- Chocolate brown for the chocolate drippy sweets nails and also cheetah print :D
These two, I got together in a set (Serena Williams Glam Slam Wimbeldon)
Your Royal Shin-ness: Glittery silver color. I'd imagine this is what liquid silver would look like! But don't quote me on it..
Servin' Up Sparkle: Combination of small and hexagonal glitters. So so so so pretty
May I say these two are GORGEOUS. Especially the top coat. And the base. Both are amazing! And OPI has cool names for their polishes, just saying
The glitter top coat over Pelican pretty *_* and the colorful sparkles make it fun to look at!

Total of all of these polishes? $16 USD! I think it's pretty cheap for OPI and CG!

Sorry for the lack of updates! It's finals week starting on Tuesday so I have to study!
Good news is that I've been doing better in APEC :D

G&G Max Pure Brown Review!

I finally got the chance to post a review! After I put up the recieved post, I was swamped with homework and other various things...I apologize.

Better late than never I guess?

Disclaimer: I was not sponsored by PinkyParadise for this post and everything was bought with my own money.
Picture from the last post
The one on the left is right side up and the right is flipped inside out. The one complaint I have about this lens is that the inner side and outer side look too similar so I can't tell if it's right or not!
Derpy one in on out shot. I look so sleepy D: But you can tell it makes a difference in size!
Both in and I definitely look more awake! Nice enlargement as well

So ...15 mm lenses just look too big for me, it's too alienish. Chanel suggested 14.5 since her King Size Brown in 14.5 worked out well for her. I chose this one because I wanted a natural lens I could wear to school!

It's big, just big enough for me without going buggy eyed! I really like it in comparison to my Geo Mimi Cafe lens. It's quite natural in terms of enlargement.

Comfort: 5/5
SO SO SO COMFORTABLE. I actually had to knock 1.5 points off of the Macchiatto lens after a few uses because in comparison to this, it makes my eyes so tired. These I can wear for a full day at school (8hrs).

Color and Design: 5/5
It's not really a pattern that will make your eyes pop, but I love it because it's natural and wearable for everyday! I love that it doesn't have that harsh black limbal ring too. The color of the lens is nice too, and makes my eyes look lighter in some lights

My new favourite! I adore these lenses :D

Recieved New Lenses: Max Pure Brown!

So excited cause after 2 weeks, I finally got my lenses!
But there was a weird holdup from USPS. So here's the story (skip to the first picture if you don't wanna read this xD)
So on Saturday, I had to go to my little cousin's birthday and the mailman couldn't deliver it, but I went to the post office that same day to try and pick it up. Of course I couldn't, because the carrier wasn't back yet, and I didn't notice that it said it'd be available for pickup on Monday. That was my fault.

So Monday comes, and when I arrive at the post office, the place is basically overflowing with people! Luckily, since I was just picking up, I could just go to the window and pick up. So I give her the little slip, and the lady goes in the back to look for it. She comes back, and it's not there! I found that weird, and I disregarded it as maybe the carrier didn't leave it at the office on his round.

So today, I come back, and there's still a line, shorter but still a bit of a wait. Anyways, I make it to the front, and the lady asks for an ID. I didn't bring mine, since the lady yesterday just said come, and you can pick it up since I know you. It was a different lady this time, and she demanded that I have MY ID though my dad had his and we live at the same address. It'd be more logical to give it to a legal adult rather than a minor right? She just totally insisted that I had mine! She said that she would detain it til then! By some miracle, my dad had an old student ID of mine that he carried when we went to Vietnam, and she gave it to us, with much hesitation. -____________-;
But I did get them, so I shouldn't be too annoyed!

Everything right out of the package! The nicely bubble wrapped vials, black Dariya fringe holders, and a yellow hippo case! These are the G&G Max Pure Brown! I was suprised to find out it was G&G because I thought it was by EOS! Oh well...
Most of you guys have read my Mimi Macchiatto lens review, so this setup should be quite familiar! I tried to recreate it xD

I'll soak them tonight, and then wear them tomorrow, and hopefully by tomorrow night I can put a review up if homework isn't too big of a hinderance!
I picked up some bath salts at Marukai, and I finally splurged on the more expensive ones!
L-R: Kokubo Piggy, Bison Hot Ginger, and Moomin Valley Bath Powder in Strawberry Cream! I tried the Moomin one and it was great! Proper review coming soon :D

Finally, I'll end up with a vain selfshot of myself...that was redundant..
Anyways, I was going to change my FB picture to this, but my friend said to keep my old one, so I'll just post it here hahaha

If you guys can do me a favor, you should click here and then like this page and support my highschool! If you do, please tell me in the comments :D

Bath...For Your Blood Type?!

Another bath review because I have a bit of down time before I do homework. Yay Unit Circles! Haha just kidding

Anyways, in Japan apparently there are lots of things that can be determined based on your blood type! Things such as personality and diet are affected by one's blood type supposedly. Now there are blood type bath salts!
There are four scents,
A- Blue Peppermint
B-Yellow Grapefruit
O-Selenium Pink (?!)
AB- Chamomile Green

Am I type A? I don't know...I think I'm actually type B or O because my parents are B and O...
BUT I wanted the type A because I was interested in a Peppermint bath salt! Hot weather+Menthol bath= Love! Or so I hoped! Though I am curious as to what Selenium pink is...isn't that an element?

The packaging is simple and has a clear little "window" I suppose you would call it, to reveal the look of the actual salt

The actual bath salt includes a powder and large grains of...crystals... I'm not sure I suppose it could be sea salt?
The color is actually more rich than that! It's super pretty in person.

Review time!
My first impression when I opened the bag I was attacked by an overwhemingly strong scent of peppermint! When I dumped it into the water, however, the smell was more pleasant and light. The bath itself wasn't anything too special, unfortunately. I thought I'd experience a cool rush of menthol-y goodness. I suppose there was a cooling effect but it wasn't noticable, inside the bath or afterwards. There wasn't any change in moisture either ;_;

I'll skip the break down and give this a 3.5/5!
I really hoped this would be a great minty bath, but I guess the idea was more of a novelty. I don't know if I will repurchase, but if I do, I'll go for a B or O instead!

Kokubo Piggy Bath Salt Review!

This will be my first bath salt review! (Yay!..or no one cares...that's cool too..)
Haha anyways, I was so excited when I saw this bath salt at Marukai because I had seen it on Jen of Sushi-cat's blog! The name is written in Kanji, so I don't know what it means... Does anyone mind translating? :D
The package portrays a sweaty pig. I hoped that meant it was effective?
It looks like chili powder!
Half filled/ half of the bag in!
Full bag dumped it! It's a really vibrant orange red!

Alright! So onto the review:
When I was little, I had a bad experience with overly floral smells, they gave me a bad headache after overexposure...That being said I was kind of afraid that I'd have to suffer through a thick floral-fakey smell. HOWEVER, that wasn't the case! It was very pleasant and appropriately strong!
The sweating efffect was amazing! I was a skeptic, but by the time I got out, I was sweating like mad!
The color is really pretty, but I kinda wish it was milky. I don't like seeing myself in the bath ;_;

Scent 5/5 Nice floral scent. Not too overpowering or cloying.
Color 5/5 Vibrant and pretty!
Effectiveness 5/5 Had me sweating like crazy!

Total 5/5

I have another bath salts post that I was planning, but I don't know if it's really worth it.. maybe xD

Thanks for reading!

Homecoming+Makeup Experimentation+Nails/ General Updates

Long time no post! I'm super sorry! AP Euro history has taken over my life...
Also I apologize because this post will not have much flow/ make logical or chronological sense and the weird long title.. OTL

Anyways! I have some pictures from Homecoming 2011

Obligatory hand on hip shot!
M+Chanel's little Sister+Me (and M's sister photobombing in the back)
Foooooood. Las Vegas roll on the left and Rising Sun on the right. IT WAS SO GOOD. I can't even..yummmm I want some now! And it was half off !

Pyramid cake, which was chocolate and caramel mousse with cocoa powder and topped with a bit of gold leaf! Fancy :D

There was a bit of mishap and drama at the restaurant , but nothing involving my group directly, but something happened and my friends' reservation was messed up and then a waitress was rude to them...

Anyways, I didn't take any pictures inside the dance because...that'
You know what I'm talking about.

I saw this picture of Tsubasa and I wanted to try it for myself! Haha Fail though....

Also, I ordered some more lenses on pinkyparadise! I got the Max Pure Brown! I can't wait for them to arrive :D

Finally, some nails I've worn in the past month or so? I did very little nail art because I really had no time ;____;
Blue gradient tips for homecoming
Pink watermarble! I taped off part of the nail because I was inspired by Jen!

Haha sorry for the probably incoherent post! I'll try to do a review of something soon and I'll post when I get my lenses!
